A pen with weight behind it — turned from a single length of solid brass, knurled at the grip so it does not slip, capped with a friction fit that posts on the end while you write. It lays down a wet, dark rollerball line and it is built to be the pen you carry for years, not the one you replace.
The brass is left raw. It starts bright and dulls to a warm patina that maps where your hand holds it, so within a month it becomes recognisably yours; a rub with a cloth and a little polish brings the shine back whenever you want it. It takes a standard rollerball refill, stated in the colophon so you can reorder without measuring.

Good to know
- The brass is unlacquered and will patina — it darkens with handling by design. If you want it bright, polish it; if you like the patina, leave it.
- Raw brass can leave a faint metallic scent on the fingers after long handling. It wipes off and is normal to the material.
