Oak Pen Rest

A small milled block of oak with three shallow grooves, to lay a pen down between lines rather than roll it off the desk. It keeps the pen you are using, the pencil beside it and the one you keep sharp all in reach and all in order.

European oak, finished with a food-safe hardwax oil rather than lacquer, so it can be re-oiled at home when it looks dry and stays repairable for years. Weighted low, so a heavy brass pen dropped into a groove does not tip it.
